The Kids Classic Book Club is all about kids jumping feet first into the classics. Everyone who participates gets to keep a copy of the book and join us as we read, create, and explore. We meet every Friday at 4:00 p.m. and, this month, we're reading Pickle-Chiffon Pie by Jolly Roger Bradfield and Molly's Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen. Since the Avoca Branch Library will be closed for Veterans' Day and Thanksgiving, the Kids Classic Book Club will only meet on November 3 and November 17. Make sure to join us as we explore new books!

The mission of Tri-Cities Parenting is to educate and support all parents in raising secure, joyful, and empathetic children in order to strengthen families and create a more compassionate world. They meet on the first Friday of each month at 1:00 p.m. (right after the La Leche League). This month, they're meeting on November 3.
Friends of the Library
The Avoca Branch Library would like to thank the Friends of the Library for all their hard work during the annual Fall Book Sale in early October. The Friends of the Library perform an important function at the Avoca Branch, helping fund and plan programs, donating both time and food to the library. They are invaluable to our continue success, and Avoca would not be the same without them. If you are interested in joining the Avoca Friends of the Library, we meet on the first Monday of each month at noon. This month, we're meeting on November 6.
If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Library or learning more about what they do, drop in for our monthly meeting or contact the Avoca Branch Library at 423-968-9663.
The Metaphysical Book Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
