Avoca Branch Library

Summer Reading Program
During June and July, readers young and old will have the opportunity to join us for our special summer reading activities.  We'll have fun crafts, reading challenges, storytime, and much more!  For more information about our upcoming Summer Reading Program events, please drop by the Avoca Branch Library and pick up a free calendar.

La Leche League

La Leche League meets at the Avoca Branch library on the first Friday of the month.  This month, they're meeting on July 6 at 10:00 a.m.  Their purpose is to meet with local mothers and provide a network of support for and information on breastfeeding.  To learn more about their organization, please visit their website at http://www.lllmountainempire.org/home.

Avoca Branch Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library perform an important function at the Avoca Branch, helping fund and plan programs, donating both time and food to the library.  They are invaluable to our continued success, and Avoca would not be the same without them.  If you are interested in joining the Avoca Friends of the Library, we typically meet on the first Monday of each month at noon.

The Avoca Branch Friends of the Library are on hiatus for the summer.  They will resume meeting on September 10.

If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Library or learning more about what they do, drop in for our monthly meeting or contact the Avoca Branch Library at 423-968-9663.

Other Programs

The Metaphysical Book Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.

For more information on our upcoming classes, please contact the Avoca Branch Library at 423-968-9663 or Ambrea at the main library at 276-821-6147 or ajohnson@bristol-library.org.
