King University Institute for Faith and Culture: Father Gregory Boyle

The Bristol Public Library is pleased to welcome Father Gregory Boyle as part of the King University Institute for Faith and Culture speaker series.  He will be at the Bristol Public Library, Main on April 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room.

Boyle, according to King University, "is an American Jesuit priest who founded and currently directs Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, California, a successful gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program. Boyle is a popular speaker on gangs and intervention approaches and has received numerous accolades, including the California Peace Prize, 2016 Humanitarian of the Year Award (James Beard Foundation), and being named a 2014 Champion of Change by the White House. His book Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion was on the Publishers Weekly 2010 list of Best Books and received the PEN Center USA 2011 Creative Nonfiction Award."
